OFA Level 3 (EMP Advanced Level 3)

Do you want a better bang for your buck?  This program has achieved recognition in every province across Canada. It covers the same material as per the WorkSafe BC OFA Level 3 course and includes the following additional certifications:

• infant / child CPR [1 & 2 rescuer], artificial respiration, and choking
• pregnancy / childbirth interventions
• blood borne pathogens 
• Automated External Defibrillation  (AED)
• monitoring blood pressure
• multiple casualty management

As per the WorkSafe BC OFA Level 3 course You will be able to identify and perform appropriate interventions for::

•  primary assessment
• secondary assessment
• adult choking management
• adult CPR (1 and 2 rescuer)
• use of oxygen  to include application of oral airways and Bag Valve Mask
• controlling deadly bleeding
• minor wound care
• shock management
• splinting for upper & lower bone and joint injuries
• respiratory problems
• allergic reactions
• seizures
• head & spinal injuries to include use of a cervical collar and spine board
• assessing and ruling out spinal injuries
• diabetic emergencies
• cold related injuries
• heat related injuries
• burn injuries
• monitoring vital signs
• transporting patient
• patient documentation at all stages is an intergal part of the course

Exams are scheduled on the weekend after the course ends
