Course Length: 38 hours
Certification: 2 years

This program is equivalent to the WorkSafe BC Occupational First Aid Level 2. Material covered in this 38 hour program is designed for First Aid attendants providing care at worksites that are less than 20 minutes from a hospital or as required by WorkSafe BC.
Course content includes the ability to identify and perform appropriate interventions for:
- monitoring blood pressure
- CPR and choking on adults
- use of oxygen
- application of oral airways and use of bag valve mask
- spinal and neck injuries
- deadly bleeding
- burns
- minor soft tissue injuries
- splinting
and more.
Pre-requisites:
- picture ID required
- minimum 16 years old
- current WorkSafe BC Level 1 or equivalent certification
- medical exam required prior to receiving a qualification for EMP Level 2
