Course Length: 8 hours
Certification: Expires on the same date as the OFA 1 or OFA 2 certificate
This program is equivalent to the WorkSafe BC Occupational Transport Endorsement Course. Material covered in this 8 hour program is designed for First Aid attendants providing care at worksites that are more than 20 minutes from a hospital, or as required by WorkSafe BC.
This course is designed to teach the skills necessary to apply a cervical collar effectively and immobilize a patient on a spine board and basket stretcher in order to transport the injured or ill worker to medical aid.
Pre-requisites:
- minimum 16 years old
- OFA Level 1 or OFA Level 2 (Must provide certificate on course day)
